Track 4: SOCIAL BUSINESS AND INNOVATION (SBI)

International Conference on Global Entrepreneurship Trends & Empowerment through Innovation ICGETEI2021 is a major annual international conference to bring together researchers, engineers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry working in all interdisciplinary areas of soft computing to share their experience, and exchange and cross-fertilize their ideas.

Aim and Scope:

The economies of developing worldare going through a transformation process in which entrepreneurship play a vital role. But the conventional way of entrepreneurship and businesses do not solve the basic problems of majority of poor and deprived communities. As a result, developing countries are witnessed of slow rate of human development, increasing unemployment and poverty & income and social inequality. Even government policies and public provisioning to address these problems are inadequate. In this situation, the idea of social business is very much pertinent to solve the social problems.
A social business is not only a business idea, but its main objective is to entail every stakeholder concerned and provide for a sustainable growth and/or development alternative based on sound and ethical business principles. It is a choice to empower people, grant them agency and to make them less dependent on externalities that are not within their control, such empowerment provides 'capability' and 'freedom' to those less privileged people to choose their development path, social business can be a choice for the underprivileged.
The objective of this track is to provide a common platform to researchers, academicians, policy makers, practitioners and entrepreneurs working in the field of social business to share and exchange their views and ideas on its theories, application, feasibility and constraint. The participants would learn from the success stories of different social businesses and they will implement in their respective countries and regions to make business successful. The theme of the track will help more to the young researchers and practitioners to understand how to start and expand social business and what could be possible sources of financing these businesses. How can we involve local people and how can be addressed local issues through social business?
